The original boats have nearly all gone and new-build is once again becoming popular. Using original line plans and modern computer technology we have redesigned these types of boat, with modified depth and sheer to make sailing and living aboard a real pleasure. .

Euroship can offer every scope of supply, from plate kit, to half fit or up to full fit, depending on your personal requirements. Rarely are two vessels constructed the same because each customer has their own design preferences but each one follows our strict criteria of excellence-of-purpose. Euroship Services are unique in that our barge designs closely follow the originals curvaceously shaped lines, enabling it to be mistaken for a period barge but still highly practical, fulfilling our modern lifestyle requirements. Something that our years of experience, experimentation and the construction of many ships, can give.
The design below is 15 metres long and has a teak wheelhouse, which can be folded down to lower the airdraft. The design is very traditional with the aft accomodation, which to be the only accomodation on the former Dutch Barges. The wheelhouse floor is on the same level as the side deck at the location of the sliding door in the wheelhouse. The engine is located under the wheelhouse .
The space used as an original cargo hold behind the wheelhouse is used as a separate galley dinette with large windows to provide plenty of light and visibility. .
Forward of the wheelhouse is a separate space providing access to a toilet, wash basin, shower, extra berth and the master bedroom. .
The design can be adapted to your personal requirements. Dimensions depends on your requirements and as an example the 15 m. design has a beam of 4.50 m. .
Without ballast the draft is 0.90 m., however, a greater draft with permanent ballast and a higher freeboard is also possible. Large fuel tanks, water tanks and grey water tanks can be fitted. There is space for a total capacity of approximately 5000 litres. .
The layout shown here is a Euroship Services basic layout that can be modified. Create your own layout, write your own technical design specification and your customised boat will be produced accordingly. This can be supplied as a self-build kit, a ready welded hull, a motor away or even a fully completed one, all depending on your personal requirements.
